She earned her MD in Oncology and PhD in Cancer and Immune Biology at Imperial College London, where she also completed postdoctoral research in cancer cell biology. Her professional background includes leadership roles as Medical Director at Bristol Myers Squibb, Oncology Consultant for AstraZeneca, and Head of Oncology at PureTech Health.
She currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Gallop Oncology and is the Founder of The H.E.A.L. Clinic and developer of The H.E.A.L. Method. Dr. Filipovic is also a global educator, board member of Sharing Progress in Cancer Care (SPCC), and host of the podcast Into the Body with Dr. Aleks.
With over 20 years of experience in medical oncology and drug development, Dr. Filipovic has led and contributed to measurable improvements in patient outcomes, safety, and healthcare delivery quality. As Head of Oncology at PureTech Health, she led a matrix team from novel therapeutic target identification through validation, first-in-human development, and clinical trial execution.
Through The H.E.A.L. Clinic, she has implemented evidence-based whole-person and trauma-informed care approaches, including neurosomatic intelligence, resulting in measurable improvements in patient adherence, nervous system regulation, clinician resilience, and overall care safety.
