Between 2012 and 2013, Dr. Thakore facilitated a partnership between nursing homes and healthcare facilities to establish provider visits and expand community healthcare support. Her efforts reinforced provider support and prioritized disabled citizens in the community by empowering patients to access healthcare services and transportation. By partnering with local nursing homes and promoting healthcare services, she helped scale clinic patient volume, facilitating treatment within a four-month timeframe.
Her leadership continued through 2014 and 2015, coordinating clinical research programs and trials. Dr. Thakore partnered with Site Monitors to address compliance requirements and ensure accurate electronic file submissions. During this period, she led a clinical research program and trained seven volunteers, one of whom received an “Outstanding Research Volunteer” award and scholarship.
Since 2023, Dr. Thakore has worked closely with physicians to optimize Electronic Medical Records performance through Epic implementation and clinical systems support. She spearheaded the Epic transition for South Shore Neurological Associates, facilitating launch efforts across three locations supporting seventeen providers. She also reinforced management of an Internal Medicine residency program involving thirty Orthopedic Surgeons across four locations.
Her leadership was further expanded by directing Epic launches for Pediatric Urology Departments across 10 locations in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, supporting 11 providers and championing clinical access to Infusion, Radiology, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, and Neurological Testing services.
Dr. Thakore’s leadership and contributions have earned recognition through professional awards, honors for volunteer service, and academic achievements. She received the Research Coordinator of the Month award from Derma Sciences, LLC in 2014 and earned the 600-hour Volunteer Services Award and Outstanding Services Award from North Shore LIJ in 2004.
Her service contributions were further recognized with Certificates of Appreciation from BAPS Charities Health Fair and Locks of Love in 2011, as well as membership recognition from the Golden Key International Honor Society in 2019. Her contributions to healthcare research also include publication in The American Journal of Cardiology.
Dr. Thakore served as co-author of “Etiologies, Trends and Predictors of 30-day Readmission in Patients with Heart Failure,” published in Volume 119, Number 5, March 2017. The study examined trends and predictors of heart failure readmissions and contributed to a broader clinical understanding in cardiovascular medicine.
Further reflecting her leadership and professional influence, Dr. Thakore was featured in the 2026 edition of Influential Women, which recognized her contributions to healthcare leadership and clinical innovation.
